It's time for another Monday Meet Up.
Our guest wasn't able to be here today, so I wanted to take the opportunity to put together a little teeny tiny tutorial.
Since I made the switch over to WordPress, my feeds have changed a smidge. I'd love to have you all continue to hang around & follow along. If you used to follow this blog via GFC-you'll probably need to update your reader via this tutorial, or if you're simply here for the how-to, scroll on down. And don't forget to link up your posts below! It's the Monday Meet Up!
How to Follow a WordPress Blog sans GFC
First, you'll want to click that RSS feed button.
RSS stands for "Really Simple Syndication," a.k.a. "Rich Site Summary." In other words, your blog's RSS feed is what allows your readers to follow your posts via a variety of blog readers (such as the one on the Blogger home page). When a user subscribes to your feed, she will receive every post that you publish on your blog. Learn how to burn your feed via Feedburner>> coming soon! What is RSS? More explanation. >>
After you click the RSS button, you'll want to choose your reader.
In order to follow a non-blogger blog, such as Covered in Grace, in your Blogger Homepage Reader-you'll need to select the Google option. *Please note that the example pictured below is what a RSS feed hosted on Feedburner.com will look like.
Once you've selected the Google option, you'll be taken to a page that looks like this.
The next step requires that you log in to your Blogger homepage.
This is where you'll view all the blogs that you've been following via GFC...as well as any blogs that you may have added manually.
Click the ADD button at the top of your Reading List.
The final step in adding a non-blogger blog to your Blogger reader...
And you're done!
Now...there are a couple of other ways to utilize the RSS feed here on Covered in Grace.
You can follow via Bloglovin'!
Or you can receive every post straight into your email box!
Facebook & Twitter are great options too!
I love having you all follow along with me!! Thank you so much for your support! Xo
