monday meet up: linky party!

by

It’s time for another Monday Meet Up!
This week I’ve got the very lovely
Megan of
The Memoirs of Megan!
She’s got some really precious mommy stuff
to share with us all today!

(P.S. I’ve got a special announcement at the very end!)

Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward. Psalm 127:3

I became a mom a little over a year ago. Since my daughter was born, I feel like I have devoted my life 100% to her. Especially being a stay at home Mom, I feel like I eat, sleep, and breathe my daughter. When people ask me to describe myself, the first words out my mouth usually have something to do with being Vivien’s mommy. That is an identity I cherish, and wouldn’t trade for the world. I mean, can you blame me? Look at how crazy cute this kid is:

The pride that I feel when my daughter takes careful, unsure first steps across the room is incomparable to anything else I’ve ever felt, in my life. I love the relationship she has with her Daddy, and how her eyes light up when he walks in the door after work. My heart feels so full of life, all the time. I hope I’m not the only one who has a full and happy heart because of the joy that their child brings them daily.

I was thinking this morning though, that I am also someone’s daughter. My parents express their love for me on a daily basis. But I was actually thinking about someone bigger. You see, we are all God’s children. Can you imagine the pride and happiness He must feel every single second, of every single day? Whether we are taking baby steps towards achieving a goal that He placed before us, or utilizing the gift that He gave us- He is always there! We are His children, and He is a proud and grace-giving Father. I’m so lucky to finally know what that type of love feels like. Thanks for letting me guest post today, Brooke! I hope you will all stop by my blog, The Memoirs of Megan, and say hello! I love meeting new friends!

You are absolutely right, Megan.
Experiencing that kind of love is
the best thing on this planet.
I wouldn’t trade a minute of
my mommy-hood for anything.
Thanks for hanging with us today!
