Her message is wonderful today. Read on.
You don’t want to miss out.
And when you’re all done, send up some
prayers for my little family? We check into
the hotel tomorrow…and officially enter
“the homeless” stage. Ah! It’s going to be
a crazy, wonderful, exciting month ahead.
and I blog over at Finding the JOYS in my JOURNEY.
The name pretty much states the purpose – I blog about the little things that give me joy, firstly to help me live with more gratitude, and secondly in the hope that I can spread that joy around. You can read about everything from style to food to my love for my Savior, and then some! Feel free to drop by some time!
Today I wanted to post about something that’s been on my mind a lot lately – the power that we have to change.
As much as I’d like to be the best me possible, sometimes I like those little sins that I hold on to even more. Pride, selfishness, vanity, ungratefulness … they’re hard to let go of! But two things that happened recently changed my perspective on this.
I wrote about the first here. Basically, I chose to be grateful and happy regardless of the circumstances – and it worked! I was able to forsake my ingratitude for at least one day, and it felt amazing.
The second, which I wrote about here, is an on-going process that I’m probably never going to become perfect in. It started when I had the opportunity to be with some people who practically lit up the room with the light of Christ that they carried with them, which inspired me to change. Since then, I’ve been able to see myself be less quick to judge or get annoyed, and it’s easier to remember my Savior in my day-to-day life.
What changes have you been putting off? I promise that if you get God behind you, they will happen! And whatever effort it takes will be worth it – being able to see yourself change for the better has got to be one of the best feelings in the world!
Have a wonderful week – remember who you are and don’t be afraid to live up to it!
This is so timely and needed at this point in my life.
God’s plan for us is so great, and so often includes
great change….we need only trust him and accept.
